Not a folder of ninety variations you will never open. Three presets, one for each job a modern vocal actually has, each a complete chain — gate, EQ, compression, de-essing, saturation, doubler, delay and reverb — wired in the order the laws say they belong and gain-staged so the first thing you hear is already balanced.

Each chain is mapped to the six controls that actually change a vocal. Move one and several plugins move together, in the proportion they should.

before you start
Every chain runs on plugins that ship with FL Studio 21 or newer — Parametric EQ 2, Fruity Limiter, Fruity Reeverb 2, Fruity Delay 3 and the rest of the stock set.
You do not need Waves, FabFilter or Valhalla to open these. If you own them, the laws in The Method tell you where they would go instead.
Pitch correction is not included — use whatever tuner you already have.
A preset is a shortcut. A chain in the right order is a method.
Frequently asked questions
Which DAW do I need?
FL Studio 21 or newer. Patcher is exclusive to FL, so these presets do not open anywhere else, and older versions cannot read presets saved in 21+. If you work in another DAW, The Method gives you the same chains to build by hand.
Do I need any paid plugins?
No. Everything is built with plugins included in FL Studio. A pitch correction tool is the only thing you may want on top, and any one will do.
Can I edit the presets?
Yes. Open Patcher's Map tab and every plugin is there, exactly as it was built. Nothing is hidden or locked.
Can I use them on released music?
Yes. Royalty free, on commercial releases, with no credit required. You may not resell or redistribute the presets themselves.
Only three presets? Is that enough?
A vocal has three jobs in a pop or R&B record: the lead, the doubles under it and the adlibs around it. Three chains cover all three. The fourth is the bonus master chain, so the track is finished rather than just mixed.
What exactly do I download?
A ZIP with the Patcher presets and a one-page install note telling you which folder to drop them in.
